Class BitmapTextureAtlas

extends TextureAtlas<IBitmapTextureAtlasSource>

The BitmapTextureAtlas defines a the area over which textures are rendered. Textures can come in the form of TextureRegion or TiledTextureRegion objects. According to Vexillum (Perle Development, 2012), "BitmapTextureAtlas is like a box where you can put in a TextureRegion (or TiledTextureRegion)."
